Abstract

Field experiments by the method of transient response were carried out to evaluate the practical usages of computer control system for the tillage implements mounted on a farm tractor with three point linkage, and the characteristics of the system were analyzed by experimental results. The control system has three process components such as tilling depth, load and attitude angle of the rotary type tillage implement. They were controlled to be optional as a single-mode or a multi-mode. The tilling depth control of this system compensates the depth deviations affected by the pitching of the tractor chassis. The attitude angle was determined by the rolling angle of tractor chassis and the length of lift-rod at right side, and the tilling load was detected by engine speed and upper link force.
