This paper describes the measurement of the coefficient of equivalent mass of a walking type tractor-implement system, and a new identification method for the equivalent moment of inertia. The coefficient was measured by using the disassembly method described in Part 1. The coefficient of the walking type tractor itself was 4.25 and 0.13 for 1st and 6th gear shift respectively, and had the same characteristics as those of a four wheeled tractor-implement system. The new identification method, which is based on the dynamic behavior of the system as a total drive train, is proposed and analyzed.
