Abstract

Real conditions of radiation drying by solar energy, the countermeasures to increase the drying rate in this method and the influence of air blast and layer agitation were investigated in the previous report. In this study, temperature change within the bulk rough rice was numerically computed by use of mathematical model. From the comparison of this estimation model close agreement between calculated values and experimental ones was obtained, and the usefulness of this model was recognized.
