Abstract
Combined magnetic field (exposed) composed of extremely low frequency (ELF) magnetic field (50Hz, 112μT) and static magnetic field (127μT) or geomagnetic field (control) only was exposed to the carrot root tissue, and the effect of the growth it was examined. As result, on the average of both fresh weight and the water content of sample, was compared, exposed was significantly greater than control. On the other hand, the significant difference in dry weight between the exposed and the control was not found. In addition, though the exposed ion content in sample, such as K+ and Na+, was significantly greater than the control, the significant difference in ion content in sample, such as Mg2+ and Ca2+, between the exposed and the control was not found.
