Abstract

This study aims to construct a dynamic model of a half-tracked tractor that enables the expression of the vibration characteristics on the road, in order to propose the scientific design principles for minimizing vibration. The acceleration of a tractor driven on the road was measured, and the validity of the model was verified by comparing the measurement with the simulation. In this model, rolling resistance, which was a factor of the internal resistance of a rubber crawler system, was considered to quantitatively improve the simulation. The result suggested the possibility of expressing the acceleration in the center of gravity of the machine driven on the road surface by using this model. However, issues regarding the pitch acceleration of the oscillating rubber crawler mechanism existed.
