Abstract

The use of large machinery is important for agricultural field improvement projects. However, the suitable road widths and corner-cut edge lengths are under-researched. In this study, we examined the road widths and corner-cut lengths suitable for large machinery by CAD simulation. On a branch farm road, a 35 PS tractor with 3 m harrow and 2 t truck required a road width of 4 m, road width of 4 m, and corner cut edge length of 1.5 m with obstacles. On the main farm road, a 60 PS tractor with 5.5 t trailer and 4 t truck required a road width of 5 m and corner cut edge length of 1.5 m and road width of 7 m with obstacles.
