Abstract
The artificial heart pump valves should be chosen different decision standards from cardiac valve prosthesis. Today, new generation of rationalized cardiac valve prostheses were introduced to artificial heart pump, but many of the valves were doubted their durability, inadequate hydro-dynamical response and expensiveness. The target of the work is to develop new adequate testing method for artificial heart pump valves and evaluate a few commercial available cardiac valve prosthesis.
Tested valves were installed in the artificial heart pump in situ and mounted to a mock circulation. Bjork-Shiley, Lillehei-Caster, Omniscience, St-Jude Medical, and Hall-Caster of 18mm measured diameter of orifice were tested. On a plain of pressure-gradient vs flow, valve-Lissajous' figure were recorded on various driving parameters and analysed.
