Abstract
The feasibility and anticoagulability of continuous arterial pH and Paco2 monitoring were studied in mongrel dogs. Metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) type field effect transistor (FET) is applied to ion sensitive sensor by replacing gate metal and gate insulation membrane of the FET to electrolyte and ion sensitive membrane. We have made pH sensor with double layers of Si3N4 and SiO2 which is sensitive to only H+ ion. Also Pco2 sensor is made of this pH sensor. PH and Pco2 sensor have good sensitivity and stability for a long period, using small amount of heparin.
