From our experiences of development of “Thomasu” Total Artificial Heart, we are now going on to develope the “Thomasu” LVAD. Function test using Mock Circulation revealed our 30cc model (for child use) could pump 3.4l/min and 50cc model (for adult use) could pump 5.4l/min. Intrathoracic implantation of our LVAD might be possible according cadaveric fit trial.
