Bias-cut grafts were designed and implanted experimentally using dogs, based on the assumption that bias-cut grafts tended to return to their original porosity in the process of scar contraction. Ideal biological porosity together with thin inner capsule was found over a prolonged period in each series of large and small caliber grafts, leading to the promising line to eliminate a major threat of thickening of the inner capsule.
