Abstract
A polyolefine MPS (effective surface area: 0.2m2) for donor plasmapheresis has been developed and evaluated from the views of performance. and safety. 400ml of plasma collection from 12 donors was performed. Plasma flow rate was 13-15ml/min at 50ml/min of blood flow rate. Sieving coefficients of various plasma proteins showed more than 0.95. No free hemoglobin was detected in collected plasma. The concentration of complements in donor's plasma did not show a significant change.
