Abstract
Immune abnormalities including serum autoantibodies and circulating immune complexes are found in PBC. In order to remove immune complex, Ig M, and cholesterol, DFPP has been performed for two patients with PBC unresposive to drug therapy. Over 1.25 to 4.6 years 102 DFPP5 were performed. Immune complex and Ig M were reduced gradually. These led to the tendency of improvement in biochemical findings, such as total bilirubin and ALP. Their symptom, such as general fatigue and pruritis, has been improved. DFPP is considered to be an effective treatment in PBC.
