Abstract
It is well known that the ventricular assist device(VAD) has the dominant supportive effect on sever acute heart failure and the dramatic therapitic outcome. The purpose of this experimental study is to evaluate the effect of right ventricular assist device (RYAD) pumping for the left ventricular performance and the lung function. Right ventricular failure was induced by pulmonary artery banding in 18 pigs. The group I was that the flow rate(RVAD flow/total flow) belowed 30% and the group II was that rate exceeded 60% of control value. While in the cases using RVAD the right ventricular preload was reduced, . The group II showed the tendency of left ventricular failure, and also induced plumonary edema his. tpathologically. And the, driving of RVAD shows increasing tendency in ETVI (extravascular thermal volume index).
