Abstract
The formation of oxide on Fe-20Cr-4Al alloy with 35ppm of sulfur was observed in situ during heating-up at up to 1573K using a scanning laser microscope. Spalling of oxide scale on the alloy was also recognized along the alloy grain boundary at 668K during cooling from 1573K to room temperature after oxidation at 1573K for 18.0ks in air.
