Exercise guidance for individuals with chronic diseases requires careful planning of exercise prescriptions tailored to each person’s medical condition, physical fitness, and lifestyle, while ensuring safety. Risk assessment before starting exercise and daily monitoring of health status are essential to prevent adverse events and maximize the benefits of physical activity. Maintaining exercise adherence remains the greatest challenge, and flexible goal setting along with support for behavior change is critical. Furthermore, exercise instructors should understand relevant guidelines and adapt them to practical situations to optimize effectiveness and sustainability. Ensuring safety, promoting adherence, and providing individualized, evidence-based exercise guidance are fundamental responsibilities of exercise instructors working with individuals with chronic diseases.
