Abstract

This study focused on the number of different lower limb malalignments in high school long distance runners and examined the relationship with the occurrence of sports injuries. Furthermore, it assessed the severity quantified by withdrawal period. It was suggested that the multiple lower limb malalignments increase the risk of sport-related injuries and could lead to the aggravation. In particular, the occurrence of rearfoot valgus and navicular drop is thought to be related to the higher risk and the aggravation of shin-splint.
