Abstract
It had been shown by URANO in antigen-antibody reaction that variation of quantitative precipitation take place between inbred lines of corn. On this question URANO indicated that if the fact that higher heterosis is ususlly obtained between the inbred. parents of a more remote relationship is recoguized, it may be possible to diagnose the extent of heterosis in F1 represented by its grain yield with determining quantitatively precipitation by chemical analysis instead of the crossing test. According to the previous investigation we could determine the relationships between corn inbreds immunologicaly, but it was not clear which fractions are concerned with the precipitin reactions. If we try antigenic factor analysis, it may be desired to obtain higher titer antigen. Adjuvant method has been applied to medical investigation. We tried to clarify whether Adjuvant method is effective or not in phyto-immunological studies. Two inbred lines of corn 189, 191 and F1, B2, B3, B5, backcross hybrids from the 189×191, and two' inbred lines of corn 378, 414 and F1 B2, B3, B5, backcross hybrid from the 378X414 were used in the studies.
