INHERITANCE OF RESISTANCE OF RICE VARIETY NORIN 22 TO TWO BLAST FUNGUS STRAINS

Abstract

The inheritance of semi-resistance of rice variety Norin 22 to two fungus strains of blast fungus was studied. The resistance to inoculation with fungus strain Ken 54-04 was controlled by one major and two or more minor genes, and the resistance to fungus strain Ken Ph-03 was controlled by one major and one or more minor genes. The major gene controlling the resistance to Ken 54-04 appeared to be identical or linked with the major gene to Ken Ph-03.
