Sixty-six F1 hybrids between 12 Japancse and U.S.A. varieties of common wheat were investigated. Their heading dates were intermediate of or earlier than those of the parents. Plant height was, on the average, as tall as the taller parent, and average yield was 34% more than that of the better parent. The best hybrid outyielded the best parent by 35%.
