Abstract
The plants treated with different concentrations of daminozide (B9) exhibited an increase in the number of male and female flowers and fruits per plant. However, there was an increase towards femaleness in treated plants as there was reduction in the position of node bearing of first female ffower, and the ratio of male and female flowers was 1.42 in plants treated with 1, 500 ppm of daminozide as compared to 2.02 of untreated plants. Treated plants also showed a significant increase in the number of fruits and seeds. Pollen sterility of treated plants was not much influenced.
