Abstract

1. This investigation was carried out to clarify the relation between genetic and environmental effects on the yield of rice and some genetic parameters by changing sowing time. 2. In this study, 9 genotypes derived from Aikoku x Ginbozu were used. The genes involved in this material were E₃ and E₄ for heading times (see Table I and Syakudo et al., 1954). Pleiotropy of the genes E₈ and E₄ for culm length (Syakudo et al., 1954.) and ear weight (Syakudo et al., 1957) has been observed.
