Stagnant water between the pavement and the deck slab of the road bridge increases the risk of the occurrence and progression of disintegration, frost damage, and ASR of the deck slab. From the viewpoint of preventive maintenance, it is desirable to detect stagnant water at an early stage to restrain the damage progression of deck slab. However, the stagnant water between the pavement and the deck slab can not be visually confirmed. In this research, by combining electromagnetic wave radar survey, which is one of the non-destructive inspection technologies, and AI technology, AI method for deck slab stagnant water estimation between the pavement and deck slab is proposed based on the wave data acquired by the electromagnetic wave radar. Additionally, the estimation accuracy of the proposed AI method is verified.
