Abstract

In recent years, the aging of infrastructure facilities has become a serious problem in Japan. Bridge deterio-ration is one such problem. In order to solve this problem, research on detecting the deterioration of bridges by deflection measurement has been vigorously carried out. In this paper, we aim to develop a deflection meas-urement method using images, which enables us to measure deflection without artificial markers, without con-tact from a long distance, and with high accuracy. In this paper, we conducted an applied study using images of an actual bridge, referring to a previous study (accuracy verification experiment in a building) conducted by Hagiwara in the same laboratory.
