Abstract

We have developed a measurement robot that can simultaneously measure the shape of a concrete barrier and perform an initial inspection of the concrete. A linear wire sensor system was developed for the measurement of the workmanship, and confirmed that the system could measure the workmanship with an average error of 3 mm compared to the conventional method. For the crack survey, a concrete crack detection AI system was used, and a system to capture images of both sides of the concrete rail height column was developed. Crack locations which were found using the crack detection in the developed system were the same as those visually checked. It was confirmed that the utilization of this robot leads to a 50% reduction in labor compared to the conventional method.
