Abstract

In the civil engineering field, BIM/CIM (Building / Construction Information Modeling, Management) has generalized the use of 3D model in construction, and it is expected to improve productivity by using 3D model. We focused on that high visibility of 3D model and reproducibility of space in VR(Virtual Reality), we took a trial if VR contents is useful on considering constructability of welding steel bridges. We use 3D model used in BIM/CIM to create VR contents, and apply worker's actual operation to avatar in VR by using HTC VIVE Tracker 2018. The trial shows improvements of functions on VR contents and effectiveness of VR on evaluating constructability of welding.
