In recent years, large-scale disasters that occur frequently in Japan have caused enormous damage to evacuees in need of assistance. Flood damage is relatively slow, so we can re-duce human damage by completing evacuation before the damage becomes significant. On the other hand, there is also the problem that the designated shelter will be flooded. It is important to know the evacuation sites at risk of flooding in detail for mitigate the damage. Therefore, in this analysis, the safety of evacuation shelters from inundation was investigat-ed over time as a case study of flood damage from multiple assumed inundation points in the Kakehashi River flowing through Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. As a result, it was found that 15 of the 32 evacuation shelters were hit by floods of 1 m or more when a flood occurred from the target point of the Kakehashi River flowing through Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
