Abstract

Currently, large-scale renovation work is underway on the expressway. With the renovation work of the expressway, it is necessary to regulate the lane in the construction section. The driver is forced to change lanes due to lane restrictions depending on the construction section. Therefore, each road operator is calling attention from the front of the construction section using signs and the like. However, in recent years, there have been many vehicles that do not notice the lane regulation due to the construction section, or rush into the construction section late to notice it. In order to make the driver surely aware of the necessity of changing lanes and to verify what kind of sign installation method can be used to safely change lanes, it is repeated using various sign installation patterns. It is indispensable to carry out experiments and evaluate them. However, there are many problems such as cost and safety in repeatedly experimenting with various sign installation patterns on actual roads. Therefore, in this study, we verified the effect of the label safely and efficiently using a driving simulator.
