The Disaster Prevention Working Group of the Research Subcommittee on AI Application in Structural Engineering has conducted activities mainly on literature survey, information sharing and opinion exchange on research and use cases of artificial intelligence technology in the field of disaster prevention for three years. This paper reports on the the survey results of the research trends towards the solution of the problems pointed out in the application of artificial intelligence, especially in the context of disaster management applications, from the viewpoints of dealing with data imbalance, explanatory AI, Bayesian learning and integration of mathematical models and data-driven models, based on the knowledge obtained in the working activities.
