Abstract

In the maintenance of the bridge of the local government, the classification method to manage in medium-term the bridge of soundness III which cannot take an action immediately is necessary. In this study, the short span bridge of box culvert type and the floor slab type were investigated. And, using structure analysis, the difference by bridge type of the load carrying capacity or fracture behavior was examined when reinforcing bar corrosion occurred. Based on it, the decrease of load carrying capacity by bar corrosion was investigated and the utilization method of safe margin diagnosis was examined. As a result, it was confirmed that the load carrying capacity of box culvert did not decrease very much when the corroded reinforcing bar increased. Therefore, it was confirmed that the performance of load carrying against the reinforcing bar corrosion of box culvert was better than the floor slab. In addition, it was confirmed that the outline calculation value (master curve) of the load carrying capacity of box culvert was higher or same than analysis value and that the evaluation was the safe side.
