In recent years, incidents involving falling concrete fragments have been reported at structures across Japan, highlighting the serious social problem of aging infrastructure built during the period of rapid economic growth. Furthermore, bridges classified as Condition Level III account for approximately 10% of the total, and repairing all bridges within five years may not be feasible. Therefore, this study verified the performance and durability of applying basalt fiber mesh-a material with excellent durability, low cost, and UV resistance-to deteriorated structures as a simple and emergency-responsive repair method. Adhesion strength was measured using a building research-type adhesion tester, confirming results exceeding the standard values under most conditions.
