This paper describes some experimental studies on the dynamic property of railway track, especially in electric car operation. The measurements were made on the stresses and depressions of rail and tie, the pressures on tie and ballast, and the vibration of ballast, under the large variations of car velocity. From these measuring results, the author investigated the several fundamental facts in the track calculation, such as the behaviours of track parts due to car load and the effects of car velocity to them.
