Abstract
In recent years, ports have been increasingly opened to general citizens. As a result, it has become possible for citizens to enjoy viewing a variety of scenic elements there. In such locations, importance should be attached to the views of port facilities, which constitute scenic elements characteristic of harbors.
The results of this research, based on an hearing survey taken at the site (harbors), is designed to shed light on citizens' evaluation of the scenery of port and harbor facilities, on desirable combinations of these facilities with other existent scenic elements, and on properties of scenery that compose such desirable combinations.
