Abstract
The macroscopic traffic simulation model on urban expressway is formulated and it is integrated to including the microscopically description of the behavior of individual vehicles on the mainline. The purpose of the integration of model is to corresponding with advanced traffic control systems including intelligent transport systems technologies, such as traffic information to the individual vehicles. The objective route is the Osaka-Sakai route of Hanshin Expressway. The vehicles behaviour during the morning peak hours on a weekday is estimated by using the proposed model. It is understood that the individual vehicles behaviour are classified into several patterns based on the flowing time periods. It is corresponding with the macroscopic dynamic traffic condition that is estimated by the macroscopic traffic simulation.
