Abstract
Rational and efficient stock management is required for maintenance of infrastructure stock. In this study, stock management is analyzed in the light of feedback control system theory by modeling maintenance investiment as control input. The fundamental characteristics of stock management is studied based on this model. Also, by indentifying parameters of the system using existing statistics, a relationship between maintenance investment and deficient stock is derived. Based on these findings, estimation and evaluation method of target maintenance level are discussed, and effects of various maintenance investment strategies are discussed.
