Abstract
Three dimensional building models were made by SfM and TLS. The mean values and standard deviations about measured eight long sides, eight short sides and twelve heights were calculated in order to verify the accuracy of the three dimensional building models by SfM and TLS. The surveying by TS was also conducted at the same lines. The relative errors, assuming that the mean values by the TS were true, and the standard deviations of the three dimensional building models were calculated in order to verify the accuracy of SfM and TLS. The scale of three dimensional building model by SfM were corrected, by focusing on the TS and assigning the actual measurement value by the TS to the height of the three dimensional building model by SfM, in order to improve the accuracy of the building model. As the result, the order of high accuracy was “TLS”, “Corrected SfM” and “SfM.” It was also found that the SfM could decrease the relative error from around 5% to around 1% and improve the accuracy to the extent of around 1.5% difference from the relative error of the TLS, by assigning the actual measurement value by the TS to the model and correcting the scale.
