Abstract
The social infrastructure built during the period of high economic growth is aging rapidly. For this reason, the social infrastructure is being repaired based on periodic inspections and inspection results. Maintenance for the purpose of long life of the bridges has become a urgent issue.
In this study, we aim to develop the permanent magnet moving robot that can inspect crack of concrete floor slab in steel bridge. We also report on the results of field trials at the bridge. Furthermore, it shows the effectiveness of the moving robot into bridge inspection work.
