Road structures including bridges are aging ever faster. As well as road bridges or road tunnels, periodic inspection for road sheds and road culverts have been carried out since 2014. Although it is useful for preparing medium and long term maintenance plan, analysis for deterioration characteristics of road sheds and road culverts have not been conducted.
This research analyses deterioration characteristics of road sheds and road culverts using periodic inspection data by the visual inspection which the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, transport and Tourism(MLIT) introduced since 2014, based on survival analysis which commonly used in the medical field and pharmaceutical field.
