Abstract
This study describes experimental investigations for nitrogen oxides removal properties and physical properties of high-strength cement mortar incorporating titanium-dioxide. Particle and cristal types of the titanium dioxide and incorporating ratio to cement of the titanium dioxide have a strong effect on the physical properties. They also changed remarkably nano-scale porosity of the mortar. The nitrogen removal function of the mortar was improved with increase of the ratio. According to elution tests of nitrogen oxides ions for the mortar, nitrate ion and nitrite ion remaining around surface of the mortar further elucidated the mechanism of the nitrogen oxides removal function.
