Abstract
After Corbicula was transplanted from an water area with high (low) OCP (Organochlorine pesticides) concentrations to another area with low (high) ones, the concentrations in Corbicula was regularly measured. In case of chemicals whose change of the concentrations in Corbicula clearly observed, it took approximately from 6 to 10 days for Corbicula to reach the equilibrium condition in both experiments in which the concentrations in Corbicula increased and decreased, respectively. Therefore, it was cleared that the concentrations in Corbicula reflected those in water in that period. And, it was suggested that the concentrations in Corbicula after the equilibrium condition reflected those in water in the new environment. Moreover, the concentrations in Corbicula also increased with the elevation of those in water in the experiment in the Pearl River Delta in China with significantly high suspended solid.
