Abstract
Unused resource is used for stability of foundation in development construction of engineering works. Chipped bamboo was sprinkled to prevent sand in a slope flowing by influence of a torrential downpour by land developing region of new campus construction of Kyushu University. But when it rained, it was confirmed that colored water is running into brown at an observation well around the area where chipped bamboo was sprinkled. Therefore it was important to make the influence clear and, it was needed the water quality of the groundwater by chipped bamboo with a possibility of the cause of coloring urgently. Groundwater quality was analyzed in an observation well by this research and the change in the groundwater quality affected by chipped bamboo was confirmed by a laboratory experiment. When sprinkling chipped bamboo at the surface of the land development because the cause of coloring has a higher possibility by the bamboo chip spraying as a result of the experiment, it's necessary to consider the impact of groundwater quality in the area.
