Abstract
This paper discusses on the spatiotemporal characteristic analysis of X-band MP radar data by comparison to 1-minte ground observation rainfall data of Ikebukuro-bashi Observatory in the upper basin of Kanda river, Tokyo. In the correlation analysis of the X-band MP radar data on the overlapped mesh of the ground rainfall observatory, X-band MP radar rainfall data with a few minutes behind shows high correlation with the ground observation rainfall data. While through the spatiotemporal analysis of X-band MP radar data with around meshes of the observatory station, higher correlations with around meshes were presented than the correlation with the overlapped mesh, especially in the events of localized concentrated heavy rainfall.
