Abstract
Large mattress using high strength geogrids for river or marine applications has been used to protect the erosion around the reasons for construction performance with its simple execution. This mattress has many desireble features on environmental performances for biological, chemical and carbon dioxide emission problems. This study aims to evaluate the stability of the matress against wave action using Hudson equation which is used to estimate the stable mass of armour and other types of blocks. The KD number in the equation is evaluated by hydlauric model experiment.
