Abstract
Dissolved silicate is an essential material for growth of diatom, and a decrease in the dissolved silicate supplied from the basin constitutes one of serious environmental problems. We measured dissolved silicate concentration in waterworks and sewerage, groundwater pumped up, and evaluated the water balance and nutrients transport. It was found that the dissolved silicate fluxes are hardly changing in water and sewage plants, and that artificial system in the Yodo River basin is a great source of dissolved silicate in the basin.
