Abstract
We suggested the empirical equation in order to estimate the coefficients in the reserve function method. This equation was estimated by analyzing the observed flood discharge at many dams. This result was led by the attention on the recession stage among flooding. The prediction model with the equation provided the capable of achieving a more accurate results of prediction and was confirmed to be able to use as the first estimated coefficient of reserve function method. Moreover, The empirical expression estimated by the least-squares method is made from the reduction incline of the inlet data in dams. We confirmed the validity of the empirical expression from the prediction results of the inlet in several dam. As a result of having found the most suitable solution by non-linear filtering methods(UKF), these parameters had better be changed in terms of temporal and dynamical.
