Abstract
We investigated a nonparametric method for evaluating T-year precipitation and the bootstrap method. The nonparametric method does not use a specific stochastic model and T-year precipitation obtained by the nonparametric method can be regarded as an objective value. On the other hand, the bootstrap method is quite useful method which can simply evaluate degree of accuracy of T-year precipitation obtained. In this study, we have two objectives. One is deriving theoretical solution of bootstrap estimate of T-year precipitation estimated by the nonparametric method. The other is confirming whether or not we can use the bootstrap estimate for bias correction. As a result, we derived theoretical solutions of bootstrap estimate mentioned above. Moreover, bootstrap estimate can be used for bias correction, but efficiency of it is quite small.
