Abstract
Stream temperature is a essential parameter to understand the river environment, however the continuous monitoring of stream temperature hardly have been conducted. In this study, we monitored the stream temperature from the upper stream to the river mouth in ten first class rivers of Chugoku District over a period of one year.
The comparison among ten rivers reveal the impact of sub-surface water and dam on the stream temperature. The annual monitoring of stream temperature enable us to evaluate the ayu habitat by duaration time of inadequate stream temperature.
