Abstract
A reliable calculation method for fluid and sediment motions during flood and tsunami events is required. First, this paper indicated about limitations and issues of the conventional bed variation analysis method with a requirement for two phase model by using governing equations for sediment phase. Then, a new depth integrated two-phase model was proposed based on general Bottom Velocity Computation method with Dynamic rough Wall Law (BVC-DWL). The method was applied to the experiment on dam break flow over movable bed. The calculation results with the present model and the conventional method were compared with the experimental results, indicating the future issues of the present model.
