Abstract
For future flood disaster management, hazard maps have been created based on based on assumed maximum rainfall. In creation of hazard maps, inland flood caused by rainfall in floodplain is not considered. However, in the case of a maximum rainfall, inundation caused by river flood and inland flood is expected to occur at a time. In this study, inundation simulations were implemented by using the seamlessly integrated river, seweage, coastal hydraulic model for Kakehashi river basin. Various types of precipitation were used for focing of simulations to examine impacts of different temporal and spatial patterns of precipitation on inundation characteristics. With rainfall in floodplain, significant expansion of inland flood and increasing inundation depth were recognized.
