Abstract

In public transportation, there are cases that general users cannot give up their seat. It is thought that the reason why general users are not given up their seats is that they do not understand the words and deeds that are no stress for the handicap people. Therefore, in this study, we aim to grasp the behavior that is no stress for the handicap people. The questionnaire survey and analysis revealed that “talking to” was the most common considerate action for all attributes except for the injured, priority passengers wearing a help mark in the standard seat, and persons with lower limb disabilities. “Bailing out” was also a considerate action for persons with internal disabilities and those with lower limb disabilities, and “walking away” was also a considerate action for pregnant women, persons aged 65 or older, and those with lower limb disabilities. Future prospects are to disseminate the obtained results through posters, announcements, and slogans in train stations and trains.
