In precast prestressed concrete(PPC) slab pavement for airports, port container yards and roads, conventional joint structure has problems of causing pumping phenomenon at joints or breaking PPC slab pavement. In order to solve them, we have developed a joint structure in which a joint is easily replaceable when PPC slab pavement is damaged, by adopting wedge mechanism and introducing compressive force for the purpose of preventing pumping phenomenon at joints. In this study, fixed point fatigue load test, single joint shear strength test and replacement test were carried out to verify the required performance of joint. As a result, we have confirmed that the load transmission performance is equal to or better than that of conventional joints, that the joint structure can be expected to prevent the occurrence of pumping phenomenon, and that partial replacement is feasible.
